What I can do for you
Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse, yet cohesive and helpful set of skills that all complement each other. I can offer these skills as separate services or use several of them at once, as part of a larger project. Below, I've grouped them in three main categories. Read on to discover what I'm capable of.
So I'm a professional content creator. But what exactly does that entail?
Writing / Editing
Writing / Editing
Good writers weigh all words they use with equal measure, to work towards the goal of delivering their message. From such a hand, even a whimsical paragraph consisting of scattered thoughts - phrased in a seemingly nonchalant manner - secretly drips with purpose.

It is with this principle in mind that I employ my craft, both in the Dutch and in the English language. And in our current digital age, the ability to carefully construct text content that says more with less words is an essential asset.

I write and edit commercial copy, website content, articles, stories, scenarios for video productions and social media content for a wide variety of audiences, all of which I invest in to make my words resonate.

Project Management
Project Management
Of course I'm very happy to take on larger projects that tap into the multiple disciplines that I've mastered.

Up until this point I have planned and coordinated projects ranging from corporate websites, full-on webshops and promotional microsites, to the production of a videoseries.

More than just coordinating the availabity of assets and content, managing the time schedules and ensuring smooth testing and live going, I've been deeply involved in conceptualising, copywriting and even some light graphic design work during these projects. This level of involvement is a natural thing for me and stems from the passion I have for the process of creation in all its forms.
Translations
Translations
Through my work, I have come to realise that in order to be a good translator, you need to be a good writer.

To properly localise content from another language and create text that's alive and not an obvious translation, you need to capture the essence of its message and adapt it into words, sentences and paragraphs that are natural and relevant to its new audience, both in rhythm and in style. This is precisely what I do when I get translation assignments.

I am available to translate text from English to Dutch and vice versa where it concerns regular copy, but I am also able to translate comic books from German, French and Spanish to Dutch.
